Supervise maintenance personnel and oversee repair activities for thermoforming machinery used in production of blister packs and clamshell packaging for medical devices, consumer electronics, food and cosmetics.
Activities:
Oversee regular maintenance activities including disassembly, cleaning, troubleshooting, calibrating and reassembly of thermoforming machinery.
Design a maintenance schedule incorporating shop activities and planned production runs, avoiding large-scale maintenance activities when quick tooling changeovers are needed.
Train subordinates in proper maintenance procedures, safety standards and incident reporting for machines and personal injuries.
Job Requirements:
5
years experience in plastic packaging production, thorough knowledge of roll-fed thermoforming machines is necessary to succeed in this role.
Strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and electrical principles and how they relate to moving parts on industrial production machinery.
Ability to supervise maintenance teams comprised of up to 5 technicians, and provide indirect supervision to other members of internal cross-functional teams.
