Summary:
The Engineer oversees the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise infrastructure, including network, telecommunications, servers, storage, and software. Will collaborate with engineering teams, evaluate vendor products, and provide technical documentation.
Responsibilities:
Plan, design, implement, and maintain enterprise infrastructure, including network, telecommunications, servers, storage, and software. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure best practices, standards, and configuration management. Evaluate vendor products and make recommendations to IT management. Modify and debug vendor-supplied utilities and packages. Maintain technical documentation for telecommunications, network, server, storage, and system software applications. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems. Deliver stable, secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions. Provide escalation support to administrators. Research, evaluate, and recommend network-related software and hardware products and services. Perform capacity and resource planning for network systems. Assess network risks and perform contingency planning. Provide input to supplier management team to help establish and manage telecommunications and network-related vendor service agreements. Install, configure, and maintain telecommunications and network systems. Serve as a technical resource for infrastructure initiatives requiring telecommunications or network expertise. Requirements:
Bachelor s or Technical degree in related field or equivalent experience. 7
years of work experience in an Infrastructure or technical function. Ability to create, read, analyze, and interpret technical diagrams and written procedures. Experience in telecommunications, networking environments, security, storage, servers, and other infrastructure technologies. Experience with design, implementation, configuration, tuning, and optimization of technologies. Understanding of hardware and software dependencies. Familiarity with ITIL concepts, ITIL Foundation certified (preferred). 6
years of experience with Cisco routing and switching, including proficiency with Cisco Catalyst switches, Cisco Nexus switches, and Cisco ISR routers. 4
years of experience in Azure networking, including Azure Virtual Network (VNet), Azure ExpressRoute, Azure VPN Gateway, Azure DNS, Azure Bastion, Azure Route Server, Azure Peering Service, Azure DDoS Protection, Azure Firewall, Azure Web Application Firewall (WAF), Azure Front Door, Azure Traffic Manager, Azure Load Balancer, Azure Application Gateway, Azure Content Delivery Network (CDN), and Azure Network Watcher. Expertise in network architecture, security, Cisco routing, Azure networking, and related technologies.
