This is based at the Hollywood Reservation.
Note that Elder Services does run the community hurricane shelter for the Seminole Tribe so it is required to be able to work the shelters overnight for the duration of the storm.
Position Summary The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting the Elder Services staff in a variety of administrative and clerical matters.
The individual greets visitors, answers the telephones and questions regarding services provided; drafts and organizes materials and/or communicational brochures; performs data entry, maintains files and databases and requests and/or processing payments for vendors.
The incumbent is familiar with all services provided by Elder Services and its operation.
Qualifications / Requirements High School diploma or equivalent GED is required.
Associate's degree is preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years' experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified herein.
Prior experience performing similar duties in an office environment is required.
Familiarity with office procedures and knowledge of Accounts Payable (A/P) and/or Accounts Receivable (A/R) processes and procedures is required.
An equivalent combination of education/training and experience will be consider.
Possession of a Florida Driver's License is required, however, and Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred.
Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
