Summary:
The Construction Project Estimator/Purchasing Manager is responsible for the bidding and buyouts of new hotel and multifamily or CAPEX construction projects throughout the state of Florida and working with the Director of Construction in completion of assigned projects.
Job
Responsibilities:
Including but not limited to Bidding and buyout of assigned projects per plans.
Verification of quantities (On-Screen Take-Off Program).
Preparation of bid comparison sheets (Leveling Sheet) for management review.
Subcontractor and vendor negotiations.
Preparation of contract documents including detailed scopes and schedule of values.
Sourcing new prospective subcontractors and suppliers.
Reviewing and verifying potential change order request from subcontractors and vendors.
Verifying cost codes and original estimates against budget.
Buying out commitments in SAGE, preparing and reviewing cost on a monthly basis.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field.

years of experience as an estimator working for a general contractor in construction industry dealing with bidding, buyout and subcontract administration.
Knowledge of hospitality industry is a plus.
Experience with writing detailed scopes of work and preparation of subcontract documents.
Strong plan reading skills.
Proficiency in the On-Screen Take-Off Program.
Must be well versed in subcontractor bidding and buyout.
Working knowledge of all 16 CSI Divisions.
Strong analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Planswift and Smartbidnet software.
Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Must possess excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, while planning and executing timely, effectively, efficiently and accurately.
