We are a local warehouse distributor located in South Florida.
Our Corporate Office is looking for a detail oriented purchasing manager.
The ideal candidate must be proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office.
Must be self-motivated, able to work quickly under pressure, problem solve and possess strong organizational skills.
We are looking for someone who is detail oriented, hardworking, and prepared to join our Purchasing team.
Job Duties:
Selections of product, communicating with vendors, and assortment planning and development for assigned product category.
Manages warehouse inventory and maintains database.

Manages daily purchasing activities, supervising staff, and allocating tasks.
.
Manages supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices timelines, etc.
.
Coordinates and schedules the movement of products throughout the warehouse including storage and shipment of finished products.
.
Confirms availability of items to be shipped by verifying inventory records or conducting inventories of required items.
.
Identifies and reports slow-moving product and with approval, arranges for the removal of products.
Exhibit professional conduct in all business relationships, actions, and communications.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Proficient PC skills and ability to work with computer applications and programs such as MS Excel and Word.
5 years of purchasing experience as a purchasing manager or a similar position.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Basic understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
Must be able to work 40 hours a week.
