Insurance Verification Receptionist for Dermatology Practice
Riverchase Dermatology, an AQUA Dermatology portfolio practice, is Florida's largest and most comprehensive full-service skin care provider in the Southeast, offering medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, plastic surgery, vein care and radiation oncology.
Medical Receptionists are the first point of the administrative contact for patients in the office; performing a variety of office functions such as greeting, scheduling, and checking patients in and out for their appointments.
Essential FunctionsAdheres to the Riverchase Mission Statement, Credo, Service Goals, and Values providing exceptional customer service at all times.
Greets and welcomes patients as they arrive for their appointments.
Registers new patients and updates existing patient demographics by ensuring the collection of all necessary documentation for treatment and accurately collects and applies payments of services and products.
Answers the phone while maintaining a polite, consistent phone manner using proper telephone etiquette; directs calls as necessary.
Facilitates patient flow by notifying the clinical staff of patient arrival, being aware of delays, and communicating with patients and clinical staff, checking patients in and out for their appointments.
Performs daily schedule and chart scrubs to ensure appointments are scheduled correctly and prior authorization is obtained and documented in a timely manner.
Reach out to patients scheduled with inactive insurance, non-par insurance or no insurance listed.
Notifies surgical patients of financial responsibility for copays, coinsurance, deductibles, or other out of pocket obligations -Verifies and confirms patients information, benefits, and status with various insurance vendorsNavigates through different insurance websites for eligibility, authorizations, payments, and clearancesContact the patient insurance company to verify coverage.
Stays up to date on payer medical policies and requirements for procedures assignedMaintain confidentiality of clients records, progress notes, and any related workCompany benefits include:
